Yes, you can DIY. Fill in Form I-539 and submit the followings: your I-94, Form I-797 for current H-1B status, front page and visa pages of passport, recent paycheck stubs. Documents from your wife: I-94, current H-1B approval notice, paycheck stubs, marriage certificate.
