one family, different IO?

My hu*****and's green card was approved on August 1. I was told my case was assigned to an officer that day when I called TSC. However, no update till now for my case. We filed I 485 together four years ago and my hu*****and was the principal applicant. I called last week, it was still the same answer, assigned to an officer. I was told my case was assigned to an IO even in Feb when my hu*****and's name check was not clear. I am really upset now. I thought one IO should be reponsible for one family. If any further information he/she need from me, he/she should send me a RFE when he/she process my hu*****and's case. BTW, when I called on August 1, I was even told the IO number. I was not ready to write it down though.
