Since the award letter says "I want to just let you know and inform you that we have awarded you some shares in XX company for your past and future participation for the success of the company. I would like to thank you for dedication on your research and commitment to xx and it's projects. Attached is the letter explaining to you where your shares will be held in trust for you. Also as an individual involved in the project management team of xx you will also be involved in the xx employee option plan in order that you will receive further shares that will be given to everyone based on their individual performance." the university lawyer considered this claerly state my past and future work for the company. So the university lawyer sugget me to reject the shares and ask the company provide a letter to withdraw their offer for fear a legal status for the future. what should I do now? could you give me some details?
