I was a H1B, then AOS using EAD. Now I want to reinstate H1B. Based on your answer, my H1B should be fine even if I leave US before the approval of my H1B.

But I just read your blog. You mentioned that
"Service officers are reminded that an alien on whose behalf a change of nonimmigrant status has been filed and who travels outside the United States before the request is adjudicated is considered to have abandoned the request for a change of nonimmigrant status."

Am I the case that travel outside of US while changing the nonimmigrant status? Thanks.
