請教：J-1 Waiver正在等待時可以開始永久居民身份申請麽？

有幾個問題請高人指點。

1：我的waiver是用extreme hardship -- 先生是終身教授，並患有terminal disease。請問這樣的case自己填表、寫statement的把握大麽？有需要請律師麽？我看了xiaobaitu的討論感覺我們的情況可以establish a strong case，他不可能和我回國待兩年的。

2：我先生下周歸化入籍（這漫長的等待我以後另文敘述），由於用extreme hardship辦waiver據USCIS的網站上的信息需時3-4個月，到時我的J-1居留已過期，而中間我有可能找不到下一個J-1的工作，這段時間算合法在美國居留麽？

3：因此我們計劃在他宣誓後馬上交綠卡申請，這樣做可行麽？ 可以同時申請工作許可和旅行文件麽？
