How to Enter "EAC-" to check case status when call the 800 numbe

I want to call the service center, someone mentions need to follow some rule on the 800 number. In order to enter" EAC-xxxxxxxxxx", I have tried to input the 322 for EAC on phone, but that does not work. Anyone has figured out?
