My H1-B will expire in Sep. 30th 2008 and my lawyer plan to file my H1-B extension in two weeks.
My lawyer said that I would have no problem to work for my employer after my current H1-B expire in Sep. 30th 2008 and before my H1-B extension approval as long as my H1-B extension filed before Sep. 30th 2008.
Is that true? What is the USCIS rules regarding to this situation.
Thanks for your input.

You can work until 240 days after your current H1B expires.
