I quit my job A in 11/07. and started to work in job B using EAD. My old company A sponsored my H1B (using Company's lawyer), which was approved in 2006. I happened to check that H1B status and showing the case reopened, Please see the following info
Application Type: I129, PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER
Current Status: Case reopened or reconsidered based on USCIS determination, and the case is now pending.
We reopened this I129 PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER on December 4, 2007, and are now reviewing our earlier decision. We also mailed you a notice describing the next steps in the process. Please follow any instructions on this notice. Our review should be completed within 30 days. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service.
Is this message normal? My understanding is this H1B was invalid since I left the job. But why it needs to be reopened, and CIS is now reviewing their earlier decision, and case is still pending. I do not know if my old employer did or ask their lawyer do something to this case, not just for notifying CIS that my employment was ended there. It was a bitter departure. Shall I call CIS for this case why it was reopened? Will this affect my I-485 which I am in my Hu*****and's application case? Thank you very much!
