看看我應不應該給USCIS打電話

我的case的priority date是2002年12月的，但是485交的比較晚，485的receipt date是2007年9月11日，而現在485的處理日期（NSC）是2007年7月28 日，所以看來還要等2個月。催公司的律師inquire status，說必須等2008年10月11日以後如果還沒有處理，才能inquire status。而且告訴我如果自己打電話會adversely affect my case，是這樣的嗎？
