I have been a H1-B holder for almost one year, working in one Geotechnical Company.

I still have no geotechnical degree from civil department. Geotechnical major belongs to Civil.

But I have US Mining engineering MS . And I will get my PhD degree in civil engineering at the end of this year.

My Boss recently admits to use my Mining MS to apply GC for me, Using EB-2 catalog.

Can you tell me the probability of success to apply LC and GC using mining MS for geotechnical job? And if it fails, can it effects my next application using my coming PhD degree.
