I have a tough decision to make, and hope someone here may have the insight.
I filed my I-485 last July with many others through employment sponsorship. However, my application was filed under EB-3. Currently it appears the backlog went from bad to worse, and it probably will take years before my case is processed. I'm gonna apply for a Canadian green card just to be on the safe side, but can't decide if that's the right thing to do. I was told the process would take about 12-18 months before the application is processed. Then I'll need to spend at least 2 out of 5 years in Canada to maintain the status. But working in Canada probably would jeopardize my current US application. What would be the wise thing to do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Should I apply for Canadian Green Card?
