Help for I485 relink

I filed NIW (concurrent with I485) and EB1a last July to TSC. The EB1a case was just approved. My attoney told me that I can't relink the case as the I140 for NIW is not approved yet. However, I have heard that lots of people have done the similar thing. Could anyone give me some suggestion on it? Really appreciate for your help.

Here is my timeline for EB1a to share.
