h-4 pending, 及在此期間renew AP的問題

我們的I-485去年7月遞上去了（是以我的employment申請的），現在在等排期。

老公在11月被裁，立即申請了h1轉h4。在等待期間，他用AP 回了一次國。

結果，到現在，h4還沒被批準。他的AP就快到期了。今年年底，他又需要回國。所以，想再辦理新的AP.

請問：
1）h-4這麽長時間pending（七個月了）, 正常嗎？

2）在h-4 pending期間，他可以遞交AP 的申請嗎？

3）在I-131上的class of admission一欄應該填什麽呢？
