Why don't you just let your relatives get a notary about your birth in China? It is very easy to do that. INS takes it as evidence of your birth. This kind of document provides the information about your date of birth, your place of birth and your parents' name. Not just your name and birth info.
I suggest you wait a month or so and get this ready. It is a lot less pain than sending wrong documents to INS.
