As I mentioned, I am using EAD card and my I-140 has been denied. My company is applying for H1-B for me but I can not use it until Oct. 1st. Can I apply for H-4?

My friend has told me that if I apply for H4, my H-1 will become invalid.
- It's true if H-4 is approved after H-1's approval. In such case, you may apply H-1 visa in Canada.

If I can apply for H4, can I go to Canada to get the H4 visa or I need to go back to China?
