回國後還能申請j-1豁免麽？

請教小白兔，皮匠等各位大俠。我的j-1 已到期，月底回國。還可以申請豁免麽？

大使館的教育處說
“申請豁免時尚具在美半年以上有效停留期限“

搜索了前麵的帖子有人說好像可以，那到底行不行呢？
