NIW NSC RFE Denied. After NIW RFE,longer wait,more likely rejec

My RFE NIW 140 NSC was rejected. Just submitted two weeks ago, ......i am going to die..

Background: U.S.PhD, 4 First author english paper, 2 chinese papers, 20 citations. chemical engineering background. 5 reviewer request.

My lawyer said my RFE response is quite strong and persuasive. My RFE response included.
(a) 3 independent letters from Russia, U.S.A and Israel (b) 10 more citations, including chinese citations before PD, one citation heavily cite and depend on my papers (c) email technique request from national lab, LEADING nuclear company.

Dont know what is going on? Perahps my lawyer submitted new evidence which is after PD. I am in a situation of despearation. need your help
Can i appeal NIW in order to maintain the EAD card for my wife? If appeal fails, can I by then convert my wife' status to H4?
