pjiang, could you explain the work flow after ref update?

I follow your web site, google your blog.wenxuecity.com. I couldn't find the INS work flow after 485 ref. My 485 ref(TB skin test) was received and updated by USCIS email. What is the next step? Will the file documents be sent back to IO who request ref, or sent to a USCIS Docter review then to previous IO, or sent to an adviser of IO? Who will approve the case finally? By the way, my lawyer said USCIS may send more than one 485 ref, such as TB skin ref was received 2 weeks ago, you may get all I-797 or Tax return copies ref later when USCIS continuesly review your other 485 documents. Is that true? I never heard anyone complained more than one ref for a single 140 or 485 case in this site. Thanks!
