1. Yes.
2. It's unlikely you can keep PR status in Canada while you stay in US. To keep PR status requires you to stay in Canada for two years out of five years. One exception I know is that you accompany a Canadian spouse abroad.
If the job is promising, and the US company is willing to sponsor you for green card, then go for it. You might be lucky to get it in 3 years. You probably won't care that much for the Canadian PR status at that time.
