H-1 status has ten-day grace period after it expires. If you file your H-1 transfer in that ten-day period, you have no problem to get it approved, but you can not work until the transfer is approved. So, I suggest you use premier processing for the transfer. If you file your transfer after that period, you will get the transfer approved, but you might or might not get the I-94 with it. If you do not get the I-94, you need to go outside U.S to get an H-1 visa to come back to work. Because your I-485 pending, you shouldn't have a problem to stay in U.S. even if you do not have H-1B status, but you need to apply for an EAD to work.

I am confident your H-1 transfer will be approved completely if you just have a few days Gap.
