I-797 = 485 approval notice

my answer is I-797 based on the LUDs I got:

1st LUD: card production ordered = I-797D and GC;
2nd LUD: welcome notice sent = I-797C to myself
3rd LUD: approval notice sent = I-797 to my attorney (though titled "welcome notice")

I have a sample of former 485 approval notice (I-797 Notice of Action) and I have tried very hard to attach it here but I failed to do so. Can anyone tell me how? It is a photo file. Thanks. Or you can let me know your email address in QQH so I'll email you that sample.

Also, it seems uscis has changed their 485 approval document system recently. It just doesn't make any sense at all that uscis sent welcome notice twice while LUD messages telling two different things. see below:

Also, you can refer to your I-140 approval notice, i.e. I-797 Notice of Action (NOA).

Therefore, I conclude I-797 is an original 485 approval notice. I-797C is just a courtesy copy to you. I-797D is a form coming with GC.
