Do I need to extend my H-1B visa after using AP?

Question: Do I need to extend my H-1B visa if my green card is not issued after my H-1B visa expires (current H-1B visa will expire in July 2010)?

Background info:

1. I-140 approved and I-485 pending for more than 180 days.
2. Used AP in April 2008. Have not used EAD yet.
3. Current H-1B visa will expires in July 2010.
