I know a friend filed WOM on December 2007 and his prioirity date become current on April 2008. He fight hard about his case and even applied Application for temporary restraining order against USCIS and DOS from assigning a visa number to others. He got an approval notice on April 1st Morning.
I am not kidding. If you file WOM, you only pay $350 plus postage. That is all it took.
