中國護照延期

1998年8月我第一次領到中國護照， 2003年延期到8/10/2008。現在又到延期的時候了。

我聽說， 這次延期會把原先的舊護照收走，對嗎？我想留下這本護照，我就隻能申請護照遺失，現在來的及嗎？要如何做？
