Got the magic emails for my whole family.

Time line:

Sept. 2005, ted EBIB I-140 and I-485 concurrently to CSC
Oct. 2005, FP
March 2006, I-140 approved
March 2006, ted I-131
April 2006, AP approved
August 2006, LUD, not content change
March 2007, I-485 transferred to NSC
April 2007, FP
July 2007, RFE, request evidence for continuous employment, responded within a week
July 2007, LUD, received RFE,
August 2007, LUD, not content change
April 8 2008, I-485 approved

Did several infopass, always got the answer “NC pending”.
Wrote letters to first lady and the senators in Dec 2007.
Senator A replied in a month, saying that because I also contacted Senator B, so she won’t do anything.
Senator B replied in a month, saying that she (actually her office staff) will contact UCSIC about the delay of my I-485. I have not heard anything since then.
I received a letter from FBI in March. It says that FBI received my letter forwarded from the first lady’s office. My name check was still pending. Even today I am not sure whether my NC is cleared or not. I guess that the NC memo is working.

I learned a lot from this forum and got help from those kind people. Thank you very much, and good luck to everybody. Good news will come to you soon.
