PJIANG - I485 waiting without job

My I140 approved, 485 waiting for more than 180 days. Questions: if I don't have job or switch to a new job at the time of adjustment 485, will USCIS give me REF usually since I don't need to inform my new status? If thye approve my 485 without giving me REF latter, will this affect future applying for citizenship?
