Question: Transfer Notice from USCIS

Just received a letter from USCIS which states:

...
This is to advise you that in order to speed up processing we have transferred the above case to the following USCIS office (local one) for processing ...

The office will notify you of the decision made on the application or petition ...

My question is since my PD is not current yet, what can the local officer do on my I-485 case?
