485 pending with valid AP and EAD (EAD never been used). And L1A will expire on April 6. L1A renewal was mailed to NSC a month ago. I am now out of country and on a business trip. My question is, if I come back to US after my L1A expiration date April 6,(assume L1A renewal will no way to be approved before April 6,) does this mean I have to use EAD to go back to work upon my arrival? And then my L1A will be denied since I start using EAD and entering AOS? My lawyer told me that if I work for the same position within the same company, my L1A will be still OK since my renewal was submitted before the expiration date. And it does not mean I start entering AOS even I have to use EAD to continue working till my L1A renewal gets approved. Is this true?
