有關加國移民背景調查的問題,想請教 &my timeline

我是去年9月遞的移民申請,今年5月底收到第二封信,免麵試,要求做體檢.
但是,信裏有一個叫"background information form"
It says "there are incomplete sections on your application form. Further processing of your application will be suspended until our officer receives the information listed below." 然後就是填一些自從我遞申請之後的地址和所做的事情.

請問這是表示要做背景調查的意思嗎? 我本人原來在IT行業裏做銷售的,不是什麽敏感專業,而且在加拿大也是讀的MBA,為什麽還要做背景調查呢?
如果是的話,需要多長時間?
