Please help-Renew Passport

My dear Chinese brothers and sister, HELP!

I live in Atlanta, and need to renew my passport which is about to be expired in 05/2008. However, I cannot find any informaion about what documents I need to renew my passport in Houston, and the Chinese Embassy doesn't seem helpful at all, never response my emails or phone calls.
Anyone here has done it already? would you please tell me what documents I need to prepare?
