想離婚了

我老公是公民，我去年以配偶的身份申請了綠卡，現在仍在temporary期內，覺得婚姻繼續不下去了，想離婚。如果離婚了，有什麽方法可以保住綠卡有效並在失效前申請永久綠卡嗎？
