I had this kind of visit by FBI a few year ago, once they ask for a visit, you have no choice but to accept (you can reject it, but they can always find ways that you will finally accept, so just accept it now). It is rountine check and don't be panic. Mostly they will ask your research background, whether any Chinese government try to still high-tech from you ....

If you have to have name check pending, you may ask the FBI agent to do you a favor and check your case, who knows.

Just tell the truth (may not national secret) if you have nothing to hide
