Actually, he won't care I think. He doesn't charge us for EAD AP application. But when I sent him email asking about the application, his assistant prepared the form for me. But then I just went ahead filing the application by myself. It saved me some time. That's it. I don't think he will get angry about your filing the application by yourself.
Anyway, I think your lawyer is kind of greedy. My attorney sounds more reasonable. If you want to save those $600, just file them by yourself. It is not hard. Just read the instruction carefully and get prepared.Good luck.
