Help Please: AP expires on 5/22/08, Paroled until 8/19/08, trave

On my AP document is valid until 5/22/08, when I came back to US 8/20 last summer. The stamp on my I-94 and passport says Paroled until 8/19/2008.

so my question are:
1. Can I travel with passport only to China and re-enter to US before 8/19/2008?

2. If I don't apply a new AP document, do I still have dual status (H and AOS), or just AOS?
