7年辛酸路，終於綠了-My 綠卡故事

看了魯武鬆-的“ 八年辛酸路，一紙訴狀贏－－綠卡故事”， 實在是感慨萬千。十分鍾前check email, 發現我們也終於綠啦!

Here is our experience in GC application:

H1B: 01/2001
Start application-RIR LC-EB2: 10/2001. This is a really old PD:)
RIR LC approved date: 12/2004. Who knows why it took so long? My Chinese colleague who filed LC application only 6 months before me already got his GC several years ago.
I140/I485 concurrently filing: 04/2005
I140(Approved): 10/2005
I485(Approved):02/12/2008

FP1: 05/2005
FP2: 05/2007
EAD: 4 times
Transfer From VT to Texas: 03/2007
NC to FBI: 04/2005
FOIFP: 11/2007
2 Senators: 2 times
1 congressman: 1 time
INFOPASS: 2 times
CIS Ombudsman: 1 time
Called USCIS customer sevices: 5~6 times

Starting in May 2007, I Wrote multiple letters to FL, congressman, senators, different FBI divisions, House/Senate immigration sub-committees, and CIS Ombudsman. All were useless excpet the letter to FL got us a reply from FBI saying they received our name check request in April 2005 but it was still pending:(

In Jan. 2008, I finally lost my patience and planned to file WOM. I started to Collect all evidence (including reply letters from USCIS, copies of letters I sent out, certified mail receipt, etc.). I created an excel spreadsheet with date, action (sending letters or calling), and results, which I believe is strong evidence if I file WOM.

1/28/2008, I sent letters to USCIS and FBI to inform them of my intention to file WOM with the Excel spreadsheet.
1/30/2008, 485 RFE received by my lawyer asking for my I20. The RFE was acutally sent out on 1/21/2008 from USCIS. So it was not due to my threat letter:)
2/5/2008. Response to RFE was received at USCIS.
2/6/2008, called USCIS and was told that my NC was still pending. 失望ing. But the lady told me to wait for 90 days since I got my RFE.
2/12/2008. 8:00am. soft LUD once; around lunch time, recieved email say"card production ordered.....", LUD changed to "card production ordered..."


Myself I485 LUD: 2/5/2008, 2/6/2008, 2/12/2008 (twice)
LD I485 LUD: 1/31/2008, 2/3/2008, 2/12/2008.

The waiting time is long and like riding a roller coaster. Sometimes, my heart was filled with anxiety and frustration. But there is always love and hope in life. Thinking positively and praying is very helpful in reducing stress.

I like what ThisMayHelp said "不過隻要堅持住，都不白等。老一波被卡在namecheck的，快熬出來了。" . 排期也會向前進啦。
