I-140 and I-485 question.

My employer is going to fill an application for my permanent residency under Outstanding Researcher. By my request, my employer is also going to submit I-485 besides I-140 in the same time.

I also plan to submit another application by myself under NIW. I plan to submit the application package one or two weeks before my employer's submision. Can I also submit I-485 with the I-140 in the same time? Or the I-485 is going to be submitted by my employer is also good for my NIW application? Or, whether my submit I-485 will affect my employer's submission? How it works?
