The ground of 7th yr H1 extension is 485 validity

Even when one receives 3 yr extension based on 140 approval plus PD un-current, once 485 is denied, he/she will lose the ground for H1b. The 7th yr H1b functions like EAD, substantially relies on 485 validity.

On the other hand, some other lawyers argue that the 485-based 3 yr H1b extension would be still effective even 485 is denied. This topic is ambiguous, you can choose to believe either of them, but may want to choose to belive the majority.
