老媽就要去簽證，請問一個問題

我父親前年去世。昨天我媽去美大使館簽證處(北京)踩點，被告知如果說自己的老伴去世，則自己被拒簽的可能性極大。他們建議我媽隨便編個理由說老伴還有事要在北京照料，所以不能赴美，這樣的通過可能就多得多。

我一直對這種說法表示懷疑，但我媽和我姐卻告訴我說簽證處那的負責查電碼和照相的人經驗很豐富。請問各位XDJM，如果是你，你會怎麽做？真心希望各位幫幫我，先謝過了。
