Today, I called the USINS phone and talked with a IO in NSC, who is a very nice guy. He checked my record and told me my NC was cleared. I asked what is holding on my case and was told that everything seemed ready but the case had not been assigned to an officer, and he assume that my I-485 should be approved within 30-50 days. Hopefully what he told me is true.
My feeling: the Infopass is a mess. The IOs there have very bad attitude. you need to wait for 3 hours even with an appointment. but the officer just gave you a simple status check, which is not acurate (see my last message).Try this phone: 1-800-375-5283-1-2-2-6-1-Receipt#-1-3-4, then you can speak to an IO, instead of a customer service reply.
My last message:
My Name check is pending since August, 2005. I got a letter from a Senator (I asked her help July, 2007) saying the FBI told her office that my name check was completed on November 25, 2007. But When I went to Infopass to check the status of my I-485, I was told that my namecheck is still pending in the system. I waited for 3 hours and that was all I got. There seems to be a mis-interaction between FBI and USCIS. But the officer refused to do anything except for telling me that. Does any one have the same experience and how can I solve this problem. Thanks for your help in advance.
