Help: Does H4 need to file extension?

I am H1 and 485 pending. My spouse H4 also 485 pending visted me from Chian and want to stay more time beyond the date in I-94 which the official issued date when he entered America' entry. Do my spouse need to file extension to stay America longer? Thanks
