You can as the first post commented. The point is if the salary is high enough for your H1B application. Major should not be an issue. Actually with OPT, you could work anywhere practically although theoretically you can only work in your major related positions.

My recommendation: trying to find a job in accounting. it is not hard. This will benefit your whole life!
