help needed: can I stay in China while my I-485 is pending?

hello:
my hu*****and is EB2. we submitted i-485 3 months ago. i got an offer from china. can i go back and work in china while still have my i-485 valid? how long can i be in china? do i need to come back every 3 months? how to keep my AOS case valid? does anyone know how to handle this case?
