485 status 移民局的回複

我是 EB-1b, PD 2006-9。 兩個月前給移民局打電話查詢485狀態，name check 有否結束等，接電話的人什麽也不告訴我，說45天後給我答複。

昨天收到移民局的信，寫道：" we are actively processing this case, however, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. if you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 month of this letter, please call..."

是不是這樣的套話回複沒有什麽意義，也根本不能說明name check結束與否？問題是我們這裏沒有移民局的辦公室，要預約apponiment in local office還要到另一個城市去，除了等待以外還有其他辦法嗎？ 謝謝各位指導。
