you must wait for the EB2 visa becoming "current"

The NIW application is in the EB2, so you must wait for the EB2 visa becoming "current" to submit your I485 application. It may not have to be 5 years, but it can be more then 2 years.

Here, the job change is in the "same field". There is no exact defination of the "field". But common sense tald us it should not be too far way.
