it is normal for I-485 applicant to have interview done BEFORE Name check clear.

USCIS only change policy for naturalization interview: schedule interview for those name check clear, because once interview, it will trigger 1447(b), which require USCIS to adjudicate case within 120 days once interview done. It does not applicable to I-485
