your H1B status. Altough some lawyers may tell you that using AP does not make your H1B invalid and you can even renew your H1B as long as you work for the same employer.
However, other lawyers may tell you different stories. they said this is an area not clearly defined. It totally depends on the CIS or even the official reviewing your case (like renewing H1B).
Always check with lawyers.
