No custom tax as long as you claim it when you landing.

It is a wise choice to bring in a new car when you landing. There is no customer tax if you claim it while you landing. Because it is considered as property before you immigrate to Canada. Be sure to write down vehicle maker, model, color, VIN etc in your property list.
