H1b has to be continuous. You cannot.


I did read Pjiang's blog regarding EAD and AP, but I still don't really understand the consequence of using EAD. It seems to me the most disadvantage for using EAD is losing status right away when I-485 denied. However, in my case, H-1b extenstion is based on I-485, my H-1b will be void right away when I-485 rejected anyway, isn't it?

Yes, your additional H1b period will be invalid when 485 gets rejected.


So, why not just use EAD?
