FYI, here is my GC journey:

Nov.2004 Hired lawyer for GC application.
June 2, 2005 receipts for both I-140(EB1b) and I-485s.
June 28, 2005 approval of I-140. Feb, 2006 changed address confirmed.
Oct. 2006 Got "Name Checking Pending" letter from TSC by calling the 800 number.
Jan. 2007 Contacted Congressman and Senator offices
April 2007 Got response from FBI to my FOIPA request
June 2007 wrote to FL
Aug. 2007 Got letter from FBI by responding my FL letter saying Name Check still in process.
Sept 2007 Wrote to FL again and at the same time wrote reply to FBI and also sent a letter to Ms Rice, Secretary of State.
Oct.2007, Got "Name Check cleared in Aug." information from Congressman. (it was cleared two days after FBI replied my FL letter. So I feel writing to FL is effective.)
Visited Congressman office very frequently since then. Actually just brought a Christmas present this morning by appreciating her help.

Checked emails this afternoon after visiting Congressman office and saw the magic emails which were sent actually yesterday (card ordered) and today (registered PR status).
