As many other July filers, I received my AP (receipt notice and the travel document) with an A # different from the one on my I-140 approval notice. I sent a letter to request consolidation in mid Sept. and in early Dec, I reived a leeter from CIS that this is a common problem for July filers (assign multiple A#s to expedite the receipting process), and it will be consolidated.
I called in November after I received approved travel document, one agent told me the AP can be used, even it has a diff A# from 485 and 140. Then later in early December, I saw a LUD on my 485, and called, the agent told me they consolidated my diff A#s on 485 and 131, but unfortunately they consolidated to a wrong one after I let her check, she was nice and said she requested a new consolidation to the A# on my 140 approval notice.
When I asked her the usability of my AP document, she said I need to send them back, to have CIS correct to correct A#.
Do I need to do that? How about other July filers' experience?
Thanks a lot.
Xiaobaitu and Pjiang, please advise abt AP, A#
